Iman Jomaa PA-C

Physician Assistant

Iman Jomaa is California Liver Research Institute’s Physician Assistant who specializes in Hepatology.  Iman’s experience working with the liver cancer clinic and focus on liver disease makes her a valuable part of the CLRI team.  While seeing patients daily in her practice, she can identify study candidates and determine which studies would be of most benefit to them.  Ms. Jomaa is fluent in Spanish, French, English and Arabic.

Study Coordinator

Roberta is our study coordinator who has over 30 years of nursing experience and  20 years of clinical research experience. She coordinates and manages all aspects of our liver disease clinical trials.

About Us

Our Mission

California Liver Research Institute is a non-profit research organization that is focused on the advancement of treatment and curing of all forms of liver disease.  This includes Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C , Fatty Liver, and Liver Cancer.  We are committed to the advancement of knowledge of all liver disease and novel liver therapies to treat and cure them.

About Dr. Mena

Edward Mena, M.D.
President and CEO of California Liver Research Institute (CLRI)
Hepatologist and Medical Director of the Pasadena Liver Center

Dr. Mena’s interests include nonalcoholic fatty-liver disease in adult and pediatric patients, nonalcoholic steatohepatitis in response to chronic Hepatitis C and Liver Cancer and coordinating outreach programs in the Latino, Armenian, and Egyptian communities to better understand the role of Hepatitis B and C and cirrhosis within these populations. Dr. Mena also focuses on managing and curing patients with primary liver cancer.
